I am joining in the fun of the TPT Seller Challenge, being hosted by
The week one challenge involves making over an existing product. I already had one in mind, so choosing was no problem!
I have given a makeover to my Science Inquiry Skills pack. It is not a product I sell a lot of, but it is one I use in my classroom a lot and I would love other teachers out there to see how this pack can make their life easier, while getting their students to think more carefully about the science inquiry process.
I did not like the colour scheme I used in the original version, and I needed to add some pages to make it easier to use. I also wanted to make the student workbook pages editable, so you can make the product work better for you. It is now linked it to the year 3 and 4 Australian Curriculum for Science.
I am loving the new cover, and inside has also had some awesome tweaks! To cap it all off I have reduced the price, and put it on special for the next week.
This is a highly practical pack, which I use in my classroom ALL THE TIME! Every time we do a science investigation I make up a booklet and either use it as a model for the whole class or have each student complete their own. I add bits in and take bits out depending on the investigation. It is a great way to keep all the staged of an investigation together (no lost worksheets). When they are finished, I mark them, fill out the rubric and pop it into their work portfolio to take home for parents at the end of the term. It makes report grading a breeze, as the work is all there in the one booklet and I can see at a glance where each student is at. I have found that whenever we do a new booklet the students gain confidence and competence in their inquiry skills.
Please head over to my store to check out a preview of this product for yourself.
This was a fabulous challenge idea and I am looking forward to the next one.
